Birds in the Woods: Music
Memorable Meeting
Christ came, sat beneath Stonehenge and he began to pray
Passer by brushed against his arm and she began to cry
“Who are you, sir?”
“Just a man who moves little but stirs your bones”
“Come what may tell me all these words
that you have thought but never say.”
He says, “I have come to find
That the state of night
Only occurs when your eyes fade
From the light of day.”
Christ came, sat beneath Stonehenge and he began to pray
Passer by recognized his face and she began to question him
“Why are you here, sir?
Don’t you know this place is wrought by heathen bones?
Come what may tell me all these words
That you have thought but never say”
“Can’t you hear it here?
This voice that bends one at the knees?
Only fitting someone should kneel
Well it may as well be me”
“And I have come to find
That the state of night only occurs
When your eyes fade
From the light of day”
“Are you God?”
He says, “I am not your father”
“Are you the light?”
He says, “Depends on your opinion”
“Are you truth?”
“For that love I don’t have all the answers”
